We realized how over the years the DAM professional’s job has dramatically changed and requires filling a very different seat at the table. DAM Professionals no longer are tagging assets for a central repository, but they are instrumental in moving digital media assets through the enterprise swiftly and in an structured way.
In January 2020, Henrik and Frank, founders of My DAM Services (MDS) were speaking at a DAM conference and discussing different challenges that DAM professionals face. They identified one of the essentials, metadata creation and metadata management, a continual problem faced by professionals in the DAM industry. Filling in metadata fields accurately and with relevant information so users can find what they are looking for is most important for all companies and their DAM initiatives.
After extensive research, they created a solution to effectively manage metadata creation and ongoing support remote while aiding optimal workflows and best practices. By freeing up DAM professionals from the day-to-day menial tasks, and other duties taking up time could be more readily done by dedicated remote teams. In short, moving the enterprise forward and opening up an ability for the DAM professional to work on other important operations can allow greater focus on improving strategies and objectives.
