They needed anyone with access to find something they needed within seconds. While some metadata came from partners, all of the metadata needed to be normalized to some kind of standard.
My DAM Services worked with the association to conduct a digital asset audit before adding anything to their DAM which minimized exact duplicates to save headaches later. My DAM Services helped the association establish their metadata standards, normalized what they received from their partners to their new standard, and complete metadata with accurate, consistent, relevant information for each digital asset they wanted to keep in their DAM.

A retail company, embarking on a new digital asset management solution, needed to gather a large amount of all their assets from different sources and locations. They were inundated with disparate asset management and needed a solution to organize relevant metadata in a structured array. The retail brand reached out to My DAM Services (MDS) as the best solution to assemble and label every image file type with accurate product attributes that can be easily found by its users and vendors.
The core objective was to create a unified and structured database to effectively profile and index files. As the files were uploaded to MDS data centers from all parts of the country, MDS reviewed with the client and determined each search field based on an in-depth needs assessment meeting that gained valuable insight and understanding of their specific needs and specifications for easy user adoption.
The results of the initiative included a successful integration of all parties supplying the assets belonging to the retail client in a systematic process that included the upload to MDS so that each could be sorted and provided proper metadata for each appropriate field.

A transportation company selected a new digital asset management solution. As they collected all of the digitized assets of their full product line and parts, they realized they needed consistent, relevant, and accurate metadata for everything in order for anyone to find something within seconds. While some metadata came from suppliers and partners, all of it needed to be normalized to their standards. My DAM Services (MDS) helped the client establish those metadata standards since this effort was not within the transportation company’s core competency.

Designers and creative teams didn’t have time to stop what they were doing and search through all the projects completed previously, leading to bottlenecks in the creative process. My DAM Services (MDS) established what metadata fields needed to be created and entered so that everyone could find assets immediately and push content out to channels at their own pace. With the new fields reflecting how each was searching, they were all now able to easily find the style of imagery they wanted to use, freeing up time for every team accessing the digital asset management system.
The ease of updating assets and having them edit everywhere was a huge result that allowed everyone to find anything used in other campaigns and refer to that for new creative requests. The ability to find relevant assets and look back at previous and newly available files allowed for a much better baseline in the creation of new content and what was already available that previously was unknown.

The hospitality chain has many digital images buried within the folder structure of a popular cloud-based content management tool. These digital images need to be better organized and categorized with a taxonomy that makes sense across their marketing teams before establishing a new DAM system.
My DAM Services created their taxonomy that allowed easy searchability and findability of their digital library of images with their new DAM system. My DAM Services deduplicated their assets programmatically to minimize the duplicate assets in their new DAM system, even if duplicate assets had different filenames.
The result was the immediate findability of relevant assets to anyone with access to the DAM system. The hospitality chain found that MDS greatly reduced their time to finding relevant assets and no one was ever stuck wondering where to find the image they needed again right away. The DAM system saved the hospitality chain time and money and allowed them to focus on their core business of more bookings.
